Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 26, 2026

FluxWillow ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data. This policy applies to our website (https://cartrecovr.fluxwillow.com), the CartRecovr plugin, and any related services.

1. What Data We Collect

1.1 Website Visitors

When you visit our website, we may collect anonymous analytics data via Google Analytics (page views, referral source, device type, country). No personally identifiable information is collected by our analytics.

1.2 Customers (Plugin Purchasers)

When you purchase CartRecovr Pro, the following data is collected and processed by Paddle (our payment provider): name, email address, billing address, payment information (processed and stored by Paddle — we do not store payment details), and country (for tax calculation).

We receive from Paddle: your name, email, and transaction details (amount, date, subscription status). We use this to issue and manage your licence key.

1.3 Plugin Users (Store Owners)

The CartRecovr plugin installed on your WordPress site processes the following data about your store's customers:

  • Email address (entered on checkout)
  • Name (from checkout billing fields)
  • Cart contents (product names, quantities, prices)
  • Cart total and currency
  • GDPR consent status
  • Hashed IP address (SHA-256 — raw IP is never stored)

Important: This data is stored in your own WordPress database on your own server. FluxWillow does not have access to your customers' data. You are the data controller for your customers' data under GDPR.

2. How We Use Data

3. Third-Party Services

  • Paddle (paddle.com) — Payment processing, invoicing, tax compliance. Paddle is the Merchant of Record. Paddle Privacy Policy
  • Google Analytics — Anonymous website traffic analysis. Google Privacy Policy

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any other third parties.

4. Data Stored by the Plugin

The CartRecovr plugin stores abandoned cart data in custom database tables on your WordPress server. As the store owner, you control this data entirely. The plugin provides:

  • Automatic data deletion after a configurable retention period (default: 90 days)
  • Manual deletion of individual cart records from the admin panel
  • Integration with WordPress Privacy Tools (Tools → Export/Erase Personal Data)
  • Unsubscribe link in every recovery email
  • GDPR consent checkbox on checkout — emails only sent to customers who consent

5. Email Tracking (Pro)

CartRecovr Pro includes email open and click tracking. When a recovery email is opened, a 1x1 pixel image is loaded from your WordPress server. When a customer clicks the restore link, the click is recorded before redirecting. This data is stored in your WordPress database. No third-party tracking services are used.

6. Cookies

The CartRecovr plugin sets one cookie (cartrecovr_sid) on your store's checkout page to track the visitor's session for cart capture purposes. This cookie expires after 30 days and contains only a random session identifier — no personal information.

Our website may use cookies set by Google Analytics for anonymous traffic analysis.

7. Data Retention

  • Customer purchase data: Retained while your subscription is active, plus 12 months for accounting.
  • Plugin cart data: Configurable by the store owner (default: 90 days auto-delete).
  • Website analytics: Retained by Google Analytics per their settings.

8. Your Rights

Under GDPR and similar privacy laws, you have the right to: access your data, request correction, request deletion, withdraw consent, request data portability, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].

9. Children's Privacy

Our Products are not intended for use by children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a revised date.
